Individual Growth

Identify attachments, break limits

Are you ready for change and transformation? Individual Growth is primarily about private, personal things in life – e.g. health, partnership, spirituality, new goals and questions like: what prevents me from realizing my desires? How do I create a future that makes me truly happy? Maybe also the question what is the meaning of my life or what is my individual destiny?

Business Coaching

Develop leadership qualities

Our business coaching is designed to give you support, guidance and advice for everyday life. It considers and connects in a systemic way the professional, personal and private reality of a person. It is the most effective method to develop people, i.e. to make them capable of acting and performing. People in their specific roles – as professionals, executives, experts, managers, …

Executive Sparring

The Art of Coaching

Most managers and executives need exactly this. An experienced coach in the role of a sparring partner with whom they can discuss and reflect on their professional reality without reservation. Executive Sparring uses and condenses proven coaching methods and develops them further in the work process. The term originates from boxing but is also used in other martial arts.

Surrounding

Tarifa is located in Andalusia, at the southernmost tip of mainland Europe. The cultural cities of Málaga, Granada and Seville are not far away. To Morocco the ferry takes 35 minutes and to Portugal it is about 2 hours.

How to reach

There are 3 airports. Gibraltar (50 km), Jerez de la Fronterra (90 km), Málaga (150 km). There are car rentals and the own vehicles can be parked safely. Via highways you can reach Algeciras from the direction of Barcelona, Madrid and Seville.

Climate

Tarifa has a Mediterranean summer climate and the Atlantic Ocean provides little temperature variation only. The average maximum temperature in hot summer months is 25°C. Rain falls in winter. Temperatures never fall below 12°C.

History

Tarifa got its name after the attack of Tarif ibn Malik in 710. After the Islamic conquest of southern Spain, the city was fortified from the 10th century. In 1292 it was conquered by Sancho IV. Two years later it withstood a siege by Islamic troops.

La Pura Vida

Tarifa impresses with its diversity and naturalness. People of all ages meet here. Locals, newcomers, vacationers, water sports enthusiasts, campers. The place offers something for everyone. Music, art, sports, crafts, gastronomy, trade and shopping.

Dine and shop

In the alleys of Tarifa there is an overwhelming number of restaurants, tappas, cafes, pubs and nightclubs, with a wide variety of food and drinks. You will find everything you need in countless supermarkets, corner stores, kiosks, and boutiques.

Several medical specialists practice in Tarifa. There is a Centro de Medico (medical center) and a Centro de Salud (health center). Preventive health care is offered and a holistic offer from experts in different fields is under discussion.

Tarifa stands for: Windsurfing, kitesurfing, foiling, surfing, stand-up paddling, sailing, canoeing, swimming, snorkeling, diving, paragliding, horseback riding, cycling, hiking, tracking, running, jogging, volleyball, basketball, soccer, moto cross and more …

Hurrican Hotel

The Hurricane Hotel is our exclusive partner for travellers who place great value on class, aesthetics and individuality. Located in the middle of a spacious palm garden, reminiscent of fairy tales from 1001 Nights, and reaches all the way to the coast.

Cultura Andaluza

The lively splendor of the Moorish palaces, the endless green meadows of the lonely landscapes, quiet white villages, rugged castles, venerable cities, blue sea and snow-capped peaks. Here live proud, independent and hospitable Andalusians.

Marocco worth a trip

In just 35 minutes, the Speed Ferry travels from Tarifa to Tangier, which is located in the far north of the African continent and has a completely different culture. The colorful hustle and bustle in the souks of Tangier alone must be seen.

CLEARNESS I AWARENESS I DEVELOPMENT

According to a study, decision-makers have only seven (7 !) minutes a day to themselves. All the rest of the time is taken up with meetings, conversations, conferences and telephone calls. At the same time, the number of stress-related illnesses in executive suites is rising dramatically. „Burn-out“ is not a fixed idea of the medical profession, but a highly present and disturbing fact!

That is why it is so important that managers, managing directors, CEOs and other decision-makers create times of rest, reflection and reorientation in a targeted and planned manner … therefore TARIFA unlimited! Tarifa is an enchanting place on the Spanish south coast, directly opposite Africa. An ideal place to relax, to be coached or to train your team for the future!

Establishing Coherence

Awake in the Brain – Relaxed in the heart. So we humans have 70,000 thoughts running through our heads every day. Isn’t it obvious that if we constantly think about the past based on our memories, we can only create the experiences of the past? According to scientific studies, our brain cannot decide between inner, thought experience and outer experience.

Epigenetic Transformation

Strengthen self-healing forces

The novel science of epigenetics proves that we are not at the mercy of our genes. Mind and body are in constant exchange. Thus, we are able to actively influence our gene regulation across all lifestyle areas in order to promote our self-healing and not just treat symptoms. We support our clients in having a profound influence on their healthy gene regulation and a balanced lifestyle.

JUST MEDITATE

Pick up meditation skills

Those who meditate regularly have the advantage of experiencing a variety of positive effects through meditation. This long known fact has now also been scientifically proven. Stress reduction is one of the most common reasons people try meditation. A study of over 3,500 adults showed that one of the biggest benefits of meditation is effective stress reduction.

It seems as if the world is changing at an increasingly rapid pace and at shorter intervals. Stability and consistency seem to be outdated values. This affects systems, as well as the people and organizations to which they belong. Exactly how change is experienced and dealt with is individual. Some are extremely unsettled. Some stoically try to stay on track. Others reflect on what is happening and ask themselves questions like these, „How do I want to (effectively) shape my future?“ „What do I (still) want to learn and achieve?“  „What is (I) really about in life?“ „Who and how do I want to be in the future?“ „How do I (live) consciously?“ Find individual, meaningful answers and get goal-focused implementation support in the …

Some history of Andalusia

„al-Andaluz“

They not only gave the country its name, but in the 700 years of their presence they realized an advanced culture that lived on the spirit of tolerance between Muslims, Jews and Christians, even if in this society, of course, everyone had to take his rightful place. Science, arts and poetry blossomed in al-Andaluz in a way unknown in Europe until then and radiated far into the rest of the continent. Who knows that it was the Moors who brought to Europe the refinement of food with herbs, spices and their own table manners? In the magnificent cultural monuments such as the Alhambra in Granada and the Mezquita of Córdoba, the culture of the Orient has manifested itself in the south of Europe, and the Moorish heritage can also be felt in the everyday life and way of life of the Andalusians if you observe them carefully.

I am extremely grateful to have been a freelance coach, trainer and consultant in the training field and in human and organisational development for more than 20 years. Having worked as an independent entrepreneur and manager in the gastronomy, catering and event industry for over 40 years. And for almost 48 years, to have been able to gather experiences as a traveller. My very strong love of far away countries and cultures has led me on numerous journeys – some of them lasting months – through all five continents. There I used every single chance to study other philosophies, ways of life, ways of thinking and behaviour and to constantly expand my own horizon.

In everything I do, it is important to me to look at the different details in order to be able to move the whole. If I look at things integrally, consider the individual elements and perceive the individual conditions, it is possible for me to define solutions and ways that fit, are sustainable and work in daily life.

Integral Life & Business Coach

„The only constant in life, is change“

Long ago I decided to dedicate my work to the development of people and the growth of social systems and organizations.

My approach as a coach and consultant is systemic. I´m guided by current findings in neuroscience, epigenetics and quantum physics (according to Dr. Joe Dispenza), research in the field of learning organizations (according to Peter M. Senge), integral theory (according to Ken Wilber) and the ideas of constructivism (according to Ernst von Glaserfeld, Paul Watzlawick, Heinz von Förster), as well as the results of modern learning psychology.

Currently I am learning intensively in the areas of epigenetics and HeartMath®. Soon I´ll be active as a Certified Epigentetics Transformation Coach (Healversity) as well as a HeartMath® Certified Mentor (HeartMath Institute).

Due to my more than 40 years of experience as an independent entrepreneur and executive, I have a deep understanding of human resources and business management, management issues and the development of integral strategies and goals. I´m able to see the detail and move the whole.

My love for faraway countries and cultures led me on numerous – sometimes month-long – journeys through all continents. There I studied other philosophies, ways of life, ways of thinking and behavior and expanded my own horizons. This potential I make available to all people who entrust themselves to me for a part of their journey.

Yours

THE ART OF WORK I WHY-HOW-WHAT-WHO
WHY

MISSION

BECAUSE SHIFT HAPPENS

We have dedicated our lives and actions to development, change, transformation of humans, teams and organizations.

Who says transformation is easy? It requires no extra effort to settle for the old. Habit automatically keeps us trapped in past patterns. Transforming one’s life, on the other hand, requires courage, commitment and effort. It’s comfortable to stay in the zone of „that’s just the way it is.“ But to get to the really good things in life, you have to be willing to become an explorer and adventurer.“

Philosophy

Our goal is to work with people who trust the experiences we trust.

With people who share those ideas that we share.

With people who want to realize their dreams in the same way we do.

In everything we start, we see the opportunity to challenge the current situation and set new standards of development.

We trust in a world that is about humans. Humans are the benchmark by which technology and innovation are measured.

Moreover, the development of us humans and the change of the world we live in does not stand still at any time – we just have to decide where and how we want to set the priorities. But that’s exactly what many of us don’t seem to be able to do just like that …

„We wait for crises, traumas, losses, illnesses, and tragedies before we address who we are, what we do, how we live, what we feel, and what we believe.“

Dr. Joe Dispenza

HOW

PRINCIPLES

1. Commitment
We honor and respect our own and others‘ spoken and written word. Commitment is the core concept of our communication, it stands for binding and faithfulness to the connections made.

2. Self-responsibility
We consistently take responsibility for ourselves and our own actions. Since responsibility is a dialogic term, it implies accountability to others as well as encouragement to others to consistently take responsibility for themselves.

3. Integrity
We understand integrity as a basic attitude that demands clarity and promotes clarification, which we consciously adopt; this attitude shapes our behavior. Integrity also means the integration of diversity, difference and plurality.

4. Value creation
We want to be valuable in a creative and innovative way, creating value and enabling value chains. We are convinced that further development and resource-oriented learning are already the creation of value.

5. Customer centricity
The focus of all our activities is the economic success and personal satisfaction of our customers. This is based on clearly formulated visions, goals and strategies that guide our management.

6. Future orientation
Our thoughts and actions are shaped by the courageous design of a lively and peaceful future. We act in a humanistic spirit, voluntarily guided by ethical commitments to the common good.

7. Systemic action
We view social systems and organizations as living organisms that want to grow and thrive. The systemic-holistic approach is the guiding principle of our understanding of management.

8. Constructivism
We assume that there is no „truth“, but different perspectives on reality. Thus we follow the idea of psychological constructivism: „reality“ arises and exists in our consciousness.

9. Solution focus
We focus our services and activities on solutions, not problems. This „twist“ (Steve de Shazer) releases exactly those resources and potentials that are needed for the respective next step.

10. Quality awareness

We want quality at the highest level. We use variable methods to make the quality of management and leadership measurable, visible and tangible in order to achieve economic sustainability and stable quality standards.

11. Process orientation
We focus our attention on processes, i.e. on procedures, cause-effect relationships and interactions in learning systems. The meaningfulness of key figures always depends on the eye of the beholder, he is part of the process and the process management.

12. Professionalism
We understand professionalism as consistently competent and committed action. Professionalism also means dealing with one’s own weaknesses and mistakes and the mistakes and weaknesses of others confidently and with ease, i.e. always seeing them as an opportunity to learn.

APPROACH

I dedicate my work to the development of people and the growth of social systems and organizations. My approach as a coach and consultant is systemic. Among other things, I am guided by the current findings of neuroscience, epigenetics and quantum physics (according to Dr. Joe Dispenza), research in the field of learning organization (according to Peter M. Senge), integral theory (according to Ken Wilber) and the ideas of constructivism (according to Ernst von Glaserfeld, Paul Watzlawick, Heinz von Förster), as well as the results of modern learning psychology.

With more than 41 years of experience as an independent entrepreneur and executive, I have a deep understanding of human resources and business management, management issues and the development of integral strategies and goals.

POWER STATEMENT

1. The development of an organization only succeeds if it is coupled with intelligent personnel development. OE (organizational development) and PD (personnel development) belong together.

2. The most important element of success in personnel development are the managers. They carry the goals and the implementation concept for the future of a company into the organization. They are role models. Their attitude and behavior are the key to quality and success.

3. It is essential to determine measurable parameters by which success can be determined, controlled and monitored. You can only stay on course if the port is defined. This is the task of the management.

4. Employees need a clear „picture of the future“, an attractive, plausible and motivating picture of what lies ahead. They need a goal and a path to the goal. Managers are responsible for this path.

5. Everyone will incorporate this „picture“ differently into their „inner map.“ Therefore, the understanding of this path must be continuously clarified and deepened through staff discussions, smart meetings and other creative impulses.

6. Employees must be well trained to master the tasks they are given. Leaders need to be strong personalities with integrity in order to lead convincingly.

7. Investments in training are investments in the future of the company.
It is important to establish coherent competency models as a basis for training, education and coaching (HdK = „House of Competencies“).

8. communicative disruptions must be managed competently so that the „tensions“ and social „games“ become productive impulses that advance all participants.

9. In day-to-day operations, it is not the concepts and presentations that are decisive, but rather the real implementation strength of the employees, the so-called „performance.

10. It is important to ensure that those who share the understanding formulated here are given development opportunities in the company and assume responsibility. This creates a positive „magnetism“ that attracts and retains the right specialists and managers from outside.

WHAT
INDIVIDUAL GROWTH

Are you ready for change and transformation? Individual Growth is primarily about private, personal things in life – e.g. health, partnership, spirituality, new goals and questions like: what prevents me from realizing my desires? How do I create a future that makes me truly happy? Maybe also the question what is the meaning of my life or what is my individual destiny?

For some of the above mentioned topics it makes sense to focus on professional topics as well, in order to be able to initiate the desired development in a holistic way.

This requires the coach to bring cross-functional skills and competencies into the coaching. Our advantage: we are all trained and very experienced life coaches as well as business coaches.

So we are able to help you with topics such as professional decisions, role conflicts in the job, how do I position myself in the new company. Wherever the main focus lies, all topics require an intensive examination of your own needs, values, motives, your inner drivers, belief patterns, automatic programs and the different roles you usually take in communities or teams.

The key differences between Individual Growth Coaching and Business Coaching, however, is that Business Coaching is usually commissioned and paid for by companies, while Individual Growth Coaching and seminars are almost always financed by the person themselves, i.e. out of their own pocket.

BUSINESS COACHING

Our business coaching is the targeted support, accompaniment and advice for everyday life. It considers and connects in a systemic way the professional, personal and private reality of a person. It is the most effective method to develop people, i.e. to make them capable of acting and performing. People in their specific roles – as employees, executives, managers, private individuals or as members of a group benefit from the competence of the coach, who remains neutral and stands „outside the system“.

Business coaching clearly distinguishes itself methodically from purely therapeutic concepts. It is personal, intensive and resource-oriented. Business coaching can excellently complement and deepen professional and other trainings. Individuals and teams come „into their power“, act calmly, purposefully and effectively.

EXECUTIVE SPARRING

Most executives and manager need exactly this. An experienced coach in the role of a sparring partner with whom they can discuss and reflect on their professional reality without reservation and trust.

Executive Sparring uses and condenses proven coaching methods and develops them further in the work process.

The term originates from boxing, but is also used in other martial arts. Executive Sparring is particularly suitable for the practical accompaniment of executives, i.e. high-ranking leaders, managers and entrepreneurs in a challenging environment or on the path of their own transformation.

In addition, for executives who are moving up to a significantly higher and more demanding position and are thus faced with more difficult tasks and new challenges.

Executive Sparring is business coaching at the top level

Executive Sparring is about courageously finding new solutions, possibilities and ways and implementing them in practice or in everyday life. Therefore, we also call our model of sparring „action coaching“ or „transformation coaching“. Your decisive advantage, your sparrings partner (Coach)  looks at the system from the outside and has more than 40 years of leadership, management, entrepreneurial and 60 years of life experience himself.

Your time is the most important resource

That’s why I recommend combining communication channels – phone, video, messanger, mail, presence – also in the sense of an individual „hotline“. This way you can formulate your questions and concerns in a timely manner and receive discreet and actionable feedback and important personal guidance for your work.

Individual, highly effective, on-demand, short cycle times

You choose the timing, duration and format of the sparring session. Feasible are:

1. Phone (landline, mobile)
2. Messenger (iMessages, Threema, Signal, WhatsApp, Discord, Telegram)
3. Correspondence (Mail)
4. Video (Zoom, Skype, FaceTime)
5. Presence (external meeting room, corporate, outdoor, global).

Executive Sparrings within the scope of 1) to 4) are billed in cost-efficient 10-minute intervals – 5) according to hourly rate (plus any expense costs that may arise). If required, 24/7/365 service also possible by arrangement.

Executive sparring is the „supreme discipline of coaching

The working method of your coach involves creative techniques, confrontational feedback. Circular questions, scenario techniques, systemic short-term analyses and elements of solution-oriented short-term consulting (according to Steve de Shazer).

Executive Sparring can only be realized by very experienced and highly reflective coaches and by clients who do not suffer from communicative fear of heights.

SYNTROPIC FARMING

FARMING WORKSHOPS

We will be hosting the 5 day “Introduction to Syntropic Farming” workshop, which will present the foundations of the method, in theory and practice, covering some of the essential information you will need for starting your own Syntropic system, or to deepen your understanding and advance your practice.

The workshop will be held here at La Loma Viva, a project pioneering the method of Syntropic farming in a Mediterranean / semi-arid environment. You will have the chance to see established systems and learn about our research, challenges and successes, and be able to apply that experience to your own project.

16 FebOne Day Introduction to Syntropic Farming class. If you aren’t able to attend the full workshop, there is the possibility to come on the first day, where we will cover the main principles, some essential theory and practical tools. (*Discounts for local residents and previous students, contact us for details)

course content:

  • Philosophy and Principles of Syntropic Farming.

  • Implementing Syntropic agroforestry systems.

  • Syntropic Farming in a Mediterranean context – an overview of the Mediterranean and semi-arid climate zones, their current challenges (desertification, drought etc.) and the potential of Syntropic Farming to regenerate these areas.

  • Working with your environment (sun, wind, seasons) and local conditions (soils, water, topography, local plants, etc.).

  • Choosing appropriate plant groups and consortia for creating successful agro-ecosystems.

  • Stratification: the sunlight requirements for different species and how to work that into your design.

  • Natural succession: how to mimic nature’s cycles by selecting groups of species for every stage of succession.

  • Production: choosing the right species that need less inputs and can also add market value.

  • Management strategies: Syntropic farming relies on managing your system correctly.

  • Pruning: how to invigorate the system while harvesting biomass.

  • Mulching: how to process biomass and use it to keep the soil constantly covered.

  • Syntropic Farming in practice: learning and applying practical planting techniques on the field (including a retrofit of an existing almond terrace and working with nest designs).

  • PRACTICAL: In this workshop we will be implementing a small new area to give you an overview of how to start planting a Syntropic system. We will also be pruning and managing an existing system and taking it to the next level of succession, so you will have the opportunity to see how this is done.

facilitators

Felipe Amato will be the lead facilitator of the course. Felipe is from Brazil and was an early student of Ernst Gotsch since 2010. He has an extensive knowledge and practical experience of Syntropic agroforestry. Felipe is a forest farmer with a productive project in Brazil. He has been teaching for more than 10 years and consulting on projects in Brazil and Europe. Felipe os the founder of the TERRA network and is a sought after consultant. His work throughout Europe over the past years has provided him with a great repertoire of plant species for regenerating Mediterranean and other European climate zones. With a background in philosophy, Felipe is able to break down complex theory and make it really accessible for students to understand. He is an open and charismatic facilitator, with a practical and engaging teaching style.

The La Loma Viva team will be facilitating classes and field practicals, adding their 7 years of experience with Syntropic Farming and working with Mediterranean systems, to the workshop.

FAMILY FARM FUTURE

n.n.

LIKE LIONS

The 5 most valuable gifts we can ever give our children

… NO – it’s not about money, wealth, real estate or luxury!

RESILIENCE

Life is full of challenges, and kids skilled like lions will be far better equipped to handle life’s inevitable setbacks, failures, and obstacles. They will learn to pick themselves up, dust themselves off, and try again, even in the face of adversity.

CONFIDENCE

Kids skilled like lions will be more confident in themselves and their abilities. This self-assuredness will help them succeed in school, social situations, and ultimately, in their careers and personal lives. Confident kids can also think critically, and are willing to challenge the status quo when necessary.

INDEPENDENCE

Kids skilled like lions will develop a sense of independence and self-reliance. They will be more capable of making their own decisions, solving problems, and taking charge of their future. This in turn makes them less susceptible to external bribes, narratives and coercion.

LEADERSHIP

Kids skilled like lions will often become natural leaders. They will have the confidence, resilience, and independence necessary to take charge in group settings, make decisions, and inspire others.

EMPATHY

Kids skilled like lions are also likely to develop empathy and compassion towards others. They will understand that strength is not just about being tough and confident, but also about being kind and supportive of those around them.

Bringing out future skills

„LIKE LIONS“ supports people to be fit for the future. The idea is to prepare our children and ourselves for dealing

with a „VUCA world“ (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous). „Like Lions“ stands for the idea of

developing qualities such as strength, courage, resilience, indomitable spirit in children – real lion skills.

„LIKE LIONS“ means …

… to raise strong, courageous, independent children who are not afraid to take risks and pursue their dreams. The term „lion“

is used to symbolize strength, courage, perseverance. Symbolically, this means that parents are preparing their children

to become strong, self-confident individuals who are able to overcome life’s tricky challenges with courage and determination.

In emotional terms, „Like Lions“ stands for the great responsibility and challenges that come with raising children

and shaping them into strong and successful personalities who can hold their own in the world.

But it also expresses the joy and self-affirmation we feel when we watch our children grow and succeed in life.

The classical VUCA …

… refers to difficult basic prerequisite and framework conditions for families,

children, parents or in professional systems in which people live and/or come together.

STATUS QUO – Current state

„Like Lions“ is dedicated to developing solution strategies for dealing with a world that is changing at breathtaking speed. We are thinking first and foremost about our children and their future. We have a responsibility to create a future worth living for our children – no matter how difficult the current conditions are and how and where things develop.

How can we as parents – who have experienced a comparatively smoothly functioning, calm, unagitated world over the last two to three decades – prepare our children in the best possible way for the challenges of today’s and tomorrow’s world? How can we guide them into life in such a way that they can live their lives freely and independently? Know how to help themselves at all times? Learn to lead themselves and others and make the right decisions?

QUO TENDIMUS – Where do we go

Here, too, we use the acronym VUCA. In this context, however, it stands for Vision, Understanding, Clarity, Agility. The V stands for the development of a vision. What is the most optimal and advantageous course of action in a particular situation? The U stands for understanding a certain situation in its entirety. What circumstances and conditions are those affected confronted with? The C stands for the clarity and consciousness, with which things can be perceived and categorized with all available senses. What needs to be considered? What can be useful? What can be a hindrance? What is the optimal solution scenario? The A stands for agility, which is used to think, plan, organize and finally turn everything into a targeted activity – whether in a dynamic high-performance team, as a heterogeneous group, in pairs or as an individual.

MIND HEART SYNC

So we humans have 70,000 thoughts buzzing through our heads every day. Doesn’t it stand to reason that if we are constantly thinking about the past based on our memories, that we can only create the experiences of the past?

„According to scientific studies, our brains cannot distinguish between internal, thought experience and external, lived experience.“

Researchers asked participants in one group to always tense and relax the same finger on their left hand for 20 minutes every day for four weeks. A second group was asked to do the same, but only in their minds. Just as before the start of the study, the muscle strength of all subjects was measured at the end of the study.

The muscle strength of the participants in the group that actually tensed and relaxed their finger daily had increased as expected, by 30 percent. Surprisingly, the muscle strength of the participants in the group that was supposed to do the same thing, but only in their minds, also increased, by 22 percent, without any physical effort at all.

„Our thoughts play a more important role than we assumed. We are what we think.“

90% of repetitive thoughts quite inevitably lead us to go through the same emotions over and over again based on those thoughts. These emotions become our mood, which solidifies into a temperament. Over the years, corresponding personality traits are formed that result in daily recurring behavior. And so we are stuck, so to speak, in this always the same mechanism.

But this cycle can be broken, provided you really mean it and want to escape the daily recurring hamster wheel of habits for good. As a coach and change expert I can offer you professional support in your personal change.

To start with, we have a detailed initial meeting (phone, video), in which we agree on what you want and what you expect – from yourself, from me, from your environment. We talk about what you need and what you don’t need or want. Following this, you and I decide whether we fit together and want to work together.

Once this has been clarified and you are equipped with the decisive information, tools and methods, then you begin to parktic while I hold back.  If you feel the need for my support, you can call on me for „Coaching-On-Demand“. This form of coaching can be requested and arranged with me at short notice – in 10-20 minute frequencies, by phone or video.

I will support you on your way with individual hints, tools, methods and resources that go far beyond the usual personal development coaching. At the same time you are the person who implements things and you are in the situation to practice regularly and with perseverance – I will and can certainly not do that for you. It is then for you to practice, practice, practice.

„Create your future – you can’t do better than that.“

At its core, it’s about always looking at life from a new, an unfamiliar angle. To change our little world. To consciously and proactively re-create our own future. To be open. Learning. It’s about practicing in our minds how to think, speak and act differently and better.

In this way we „install“ the necessary neurological hardware to prepare ourselves physiologically for new things. Only in this way do we automatically build new neuronal patterns and can permanently change our thinking – that is, our ego. Become more mature. More successful. More satisfied. Yes, and healthier.

I have created the development offer „Mind-Heart-Sync“ based on my experiences and trainings in different contexts and disciplines.  „Mind-Heart-Sync“ means to create synchronicity between mind and heart, which works especially well in mediation.

Besides Heinz von Foerster, Ernst von Glaserfeld, Wayne Dyer, Ken Wilber, HHH Rangjung Rigpe Dorje the 16th Karmapa and Lama Ole und Hannah Nydahl, I was especially inspired by Dr. Joe Dispenza, whose knowledge and work I have come to appreciate since the release of the film „What the bleep do we know“ in Germany, in 2005. From Dr. Joe Dispenza I learned a lot about the scientific research results from his special fields (see below). I also watched all of Dr. Joe Dispenza’s videos, listened to books in audio book format, and learned his valuable tools and methods.

With Dr. Joe Dispenza, I have completed the following seminars (online):

  • „The Form“ (equivalent to the live seminar: „Progressive Workshop“).
  • „Redesign your Destiny“(equivalent to the Live Seminar: „Advanced Workshop“)
  • „Making your mind matter“

At this point I would like to give special thanks to Dr. Joe Dispenza and his American team, Bernhard Keller with his German team and Pablo Sütterlein with his Swiss team.

Dr. Joe Dispenza is a Doctor of Chiropractic and a lecturer at the International Quantum University for Integrative Medicine, in Honolulu, Hawaii. He holds a bachelor’s degree and has studied neurology, neuroscience, neuroplasticity, brain function, epidemiology, EEG measurements, chemistry, cellular biology, memory formation, and aging and longevity.

He is a researcher, author, lecturer, consultant, and trains coaches and counselors, among others, as a trainer in his workshops and seminars.

Dr. Joe Dispenza became well known for his involvement in the creation and for his expert contributions in the famous movie „What the bleep do we know“.

JUST MEDIATE

Those who meditate regularly have the advantage of experiencing a variety of positive effects through meditation. This long known fact has now also been scientifically proven.

Meditation reduces stress
Stress reduction is one of the most common reasons people try meditation.
A study of over 3,500 adults showed that one of the biggest benefits of meditation is effective stress reduction.
Normally, mental and physical stress causes increased levels of the stress hormone cortisol. This leads to many of the harmful effects of stress, such as the release of pro-inflammatory chemicals called cytokines. These effects can disrupt sleep, promote depression and anxiety, raise blood pressure, and contribute to fatigue and poorer thinking skills.
In an eight-week study, a meditation style called mindfulness meditation reduced the inflammatory response caused by stress. Another study of nearly 1,300 adults showed that meditation can reduce stress. Notably, this effect was strongest in people with the highest stress levels.
Research has shown that meditation can also improve symptoms of stress-related conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome, post-traumatic stress disorder and fibromyalgia.

Summary
Many types of meditation can help relieve stress. Meditation can also reduce symptoms in people with stress-related illnesses.

Meditation can be done anywhere
People practice many different forms of meditation, most of which do not require special equipment or space.
Just a few minutes of meditation daily is enough to reap the benefits.
When you want to start meditating, try to choose a form of meditation that fits your personal goals or what you want to achieve with meditation.

There are two main styles of meditation
Focused attention meditation: focuses attention on a single object, thought, sound, or visualization. This style of meditation emphasizes clearing the mind of wandering thoughts and distractions. For example, in this meditation, one focuses only on breathing, a mantra, or a soothing sound.
Open-Monitoring Meditation: promotes an expanded awareness of all aspects of the environment, a training of thought and sense of self. This style of meditation may involve becoming aware of thoughts, feelings, or impulses that a person normally tries to suppress.
To find out which style of meditation suits you best, you can check out the variety of free guided meditation exercises – such as those from UCLA and Head in the Clouds. They’re both an excellent way to try out different styles and find your own that fits.
If your normal work and home environment does not allow for consistent, calm and quiet time, consider taking a class. This can also improve one’s own chances of success, as one has a supportive community available there in the rules.
Alternatively, you can set your alarm a few minutes earlier to take advantage of the quiet time in the morning and practice meditation as part of your morning routine.
This can help develop a regular habit and start your day on a positive note.

Summary
For those who want to incorporate meditation into their daily routine, try a few different styles first and choose guided meditation exercises or apps, then continue with one that suits you.

Meditation makes you happier
Some types of meditation can especially increase positive feelings and actions toward oneself and others.
Metta, a type of meditation also known as loving-kindness meditation, begins with developing kind thoughts and feelings toward oneself.
Metta is one of the 40 historical meditation objects taught by Buddha Siddharta Gautama. In metta meditation, a friendly benevolent attitude toward all sentient beings is practiced. By practicing this meditation, people learn to spread this kindness and forgiveness outward, first to friends, then to acquaintances, and finally to enemies.
Twenty-two studies of this form of meditation have demonstrated its ability to increase people’s compassion for themselves and others.
A study of 100 adults randomly assigned to a meditation program that included loving-kindness meditation found that these benefits were dependent on the frequency of meditation.
In other words, the more effort people put into metta meditation, the more positive feelings they experienced.
Another group of studies showed that the positive feelings people develop through metta meditation can improve social anxiety, reduce marital conflict, and help manage anger.
These benefits seem to accumulate over time when meditating in this way regularly.

Summary
Metta, or loving kindness meditation, is a practice of developing positive feelings, first toward oneself and then toward others. Metta increases positivity, empathy, and compassionate behavior toward others.

Meditation improves sleep
Nearly half the population will experience insomnia and trouble falling asleep at some point.
One study compared two mindfulness-based meditation programs by randomly assigning participants to one of two groups. One group practiced meditation while the other did not.
The participants who meditated for a few minutes each day fell asleep earlier and were able to sleep through the night longer, compared to those who did not meditate.
Learning to meditate can help you control or redirect the racing or „runaway“ thoughts that people have in bed at night, which too often lead to insomnia.
In addition, meditating can help relax the body, relieve tension, and put you in a peaceful state by making it more likely to fall asleep.

Summary
A variety of meditation techniques can help you relax and control the „runaway“ thoughts that can interfere with sleep. This can shorten the time it takes to fall asleep and increase the quality of sleep.

Meditation improves self-awareness
Some forms of meditation can help develop a stronger understanding of oneself and help one become the best self.
For example, self-enquiry meditation explicitly aims to help people develop a better understanding and awareness of themselves as a person and how they relate to others around them.
Other forms of mediation, for example, teach people to recognize thoughts that may be harmful or self-destructive. The idea is that if someone gains a higher awareness of their thinking habits, they can steer the direction of their thoughts into a more constructive pattern.
A study of 21 women who had cancer found that their self-esteem improved more when they participated in a tai chi program than those who attended support groups and meetings. In another study, 40 older men and women who completed a mindfulness meditation program experienced reduced feelings of loneliness compared with a control group who had been placed on a waiting list for the program.
Also, the thoughts and individual experiences one receives while meditating can lead to more creative problem solving in all areas of life.

Summary
Self-inquiry and related meditation styles can help you „know“ yourself better. This can be a starting point for further positive changes in your life.

Self-inquiry and related meditation styles can help you „know“ yourself better. This can be a starting point for further positive changes in your life.

Meditation extends attention span
Meditation with focused attention is like weightlifting for your attention span. It helps increase the strength and stamina of your attention.
For example, one study examined the effects of an eight-week mindfulness meditation course and found that meditation improved participants‘ ability to refocus and sustain their attention.
A similar study showed that human resource workers who regularly practiced mindfulness meditation stayed focused on a task longer.
These workers also remembered details of their tasks better than their colleagues who did not practice meditation. In addition, one review concluded that meditation can even reverse patterns in the brain that contribute to wandering thoughts, unfocusedness, worrying and poor attention.
Even if you’re still a beginner and only meditate a few minutes a day, you can benefit. One study found that four days of meditation can be enough to increase your attention span.

Summary
Some types of meditation can enhance the ability to target and sustain attention to specific feelings. Just four days of meditation has been shown to result in better focus.

Meditation is good for memory
The improvements in attention and clarity of thought from meditation can help keep the mind young.
Kirtan Kriya is a meditation method that combines a mantra or chant with repeated movements of the fingers to focus thoughts. This type of meditation improved participants‘ ability to perform memory tasks in several studies of age-related memory loss. In addition, a review of 12 studies found that several styles of meditation increased attention, memory, and mental performance in older volunteers.
In addition to combating age-related memory loss, meditation can improve memory in dementia patients, at least to some extent.
Meditation exercises may also help to better control stress and improve coping when caring for family members with dementia.

Summary
The improved focus you can gain from regular meditation can increase memory and mental clarity. These benefits can help combat age-related memory loss and dementia.

Meditation promotes emotional health
Some forms of meditation can also lead to improved self-image and a more positive outlook on life.
Two studies of mindfulness meditation found reduced depression in more than 4,600 adults. One study followed 18 volunteers who practiced meditation for three years. The study found that participants experienced a long-term decrease in depression. Inflammatory chemicals called cytokines released in response to stress can affect mood and lead to depression. A review of several other studies suggests that meditation can reduce depression by decreasing these inflammatory chemicals.
Another controlled study compared electrical activity between the brains of people who practiced mindfulness meditation and the brains of others who did not.
The meditators showed measurable changes in brain activity in areas related to positive thinking and optimism.

Summary
Some forms of meditation can relieve depression and create a more positive outlook on life. Research shows that regular meditation can help you maintain these benefits over the long term.

Meditation helps with pain
Your perception of pain is linked to your state of mind and can be heightened under stressful conditions.
For example, one study used functional MRI techniques to monitor brain activity when participants experienced a painful stimulus. Some of the participants had completed four days of mindfulness meditation, while others had not.
The meditating patients showed increased activity in brain centers known to control pain. They also reported less sensitivity to pain.
A larger study examined the effects of regular meditation in 3,500 participants. It found that meditation was associated with lower complaints of chronic or short-term pain.
An additional study of meditation in patients with terminal illness, was found that meditation can help relieve chronic pain at the end of life.
In each of these scenarios, meditators and non-meditators experienced the same causes of pain, but meditators showed a greater ability to cope better with pain and even experienced a reduced sense of pain.

Summary
Meditation can reduce the brain’s perception of pain. This may help with chronic pain when used as an adjunct to medical treatment or physical therapy.

Meditation can lower blood pressure
Meditation can also improve physical health by reducing stress on the heart.
Over time, high blood pressure makes the heart work harder to pump blood, which can lead to poor heart function.
High blood pressure also contributes to atherosclerosis, or narrowing of the arteries, which can lead to heart attacks and strokes.
A study of 996 volunteers found that during meditation, focusing on a „silent mantra“ – a repeated, unspoken word – lowered blood pressure by an average of about five points. This was even more effective in older volunteers and those who had higher blood pressure before the study. One review concluded that several types of meditation led to similar improvements in blood pressure.
In part, meditation appears to control blood pressure by relaxing nerve signals that coordinate heart function and tension in blood vessels that increases alertness in stressful situations.

Summary
Blood pressure decreases not only during meditation, but also over time in individuals who meditate regularly. This can reduce the stress on the heart and arteries and helps prevent heart disease.

Meditation controls anxiety
Less stress means less anxiety and panic attacks. For example, an eight-week study of mindfulness meditation helped participants reduce their anxiety and inner turmoil.
Meditation also reduced symptoms of anxiety disorders such as phobias, social anxiety, paranoid thoughts, obsessive-compulsive behavior and panic attacks. Another study of 18 volunteers followed participants for three years after they completed an eight-week meditation program. Most volunteers had continued to practice regular meditation and maintained lower levels of worry, anxiety and fear over the long term. A larger study of 2,466 participants also showed that a variety of different meditation strategies can reduce levels of anxiety and inner turmoil.
For example, yoga has also been shown to help people reduce anxiety and stress. This is most likely due to the benefits of meditative practice and physical activity.
Meditation can also help control work-related anxiety in high-pressure work environments. For example, one study found that regular meditation reduced anxiety and tension in nurses.

Summary
Regular meditation helps reduce anxiety and anxiety-related mental health problems such as social anxiety, phobias, and compulsive behaviors.

Meditation can help fight addiction
The mental self-discipline developed through meditation has been shown to help break addictions by increasing a person’s self-control and awareness of triggers for addictive behaviors.
Research has shown that meditation can help people learn to redirect their attention, increase willpower, control emotions and impulses, and improve their understanding of the causes of addictive behavior.
A study that taught 19 dry alcoholics how to meditate found that participants who received the meditation training were better able to control their cravings and the resulting stress.

Meditation can also help control food cravings and prevent cravings. A review of 14 studies found that mindfulness meditation helped participants reduce emotional and compulsive eating.

Summary
Meditation develops mental discipline and willpower and can help avoid triggers for unwanted impulses. This can help recover from addiction, lose weight, and redirect other unwanted habits.

Conclusion
Meditation is something that anyone can do to improve their mental and emotional health.

Anyone can meditate anywhere without having to enter into special equipment or memberships – although a meditation cushion can certainly provide extra comfort while meditating. For those interested, there are many different meditation courses and nowadays apps where you can choose a guided meditation, while there is a wide variety of meditation styles, each with different approaches and benefits.
Trying a mediation style that fits your personal goals is a great way to improve your quality of life, even if you only have a few minutes a day to meditate.
We recommend adding meditation to a daily morning routine. 5-10 minutes is enough to start with, until meditation becomes a daily, enjoyable habit. Be sure: the positive effect will be noticeable within a few weeks.

INTEGRAL LIFE + BUSINESS COACHING

„There is no external development without an internal development that keeps it in place.“

We work with people, teams and organizations in an integral way .

Our approach is to encounter and perceive people and their world from the most comprehensive number of perspectives possible. We all have an innate perspective that is our tendency from which we relate to the world. Learning about these perspectives helps us to understand each other better and also to become aware of our blind spots.

Ken Wilber expresses the following sentences in this regard:

„To understand the whole, one must understand the parts. To understand the parts, it is necessary to understand the whole. This is the cycle of understanding.“

„I have an important rule: everyone is right. More specifically, everyone – including me – has some important parts of truth, and all of those parts need to be honored, appreciated, and included in a more gracious, generous, and compassionate embrace.“

„It’s about uniting opposites, both positive and negative, by discovering a ground that transcends and embraces both.“

„I don’t have to agree with everything they say, but I should at least try to understand, because the opposite of mutual understanding is simply war.“

„Integral,“ then, simply means that this approach seeks to incorporate as many important truths from as many disciplines as possible-from East as well as West, from pre-modern, modern, and post-modern, from the hard sciences of physics and the tender sciences of spirituality.

The basic idea of integral transformative practice (ITP) is simple: the more aspects of our being we exercise simultaneously, the more likely it is that transformation will occur.

Ken Wilber offers a brief summary of the theoretical formulation known as AQAL (pronounced „aw-qwal“) – a shorthand for „all quadrants, all levels, all lines, all states, all types.“ These five crucial elements represent the smallest possible factors required to create the most comprehensive understanding of the universe – from the Big Bang to the evolution of life to the amazing range of human thought and development.

QUADRANTS

As in the four quadrants, which represent four fundamental dimensions of all individual holons: the inner and outer of the individual and the collective. These are called Upper Left (inner-individual), Upper Right (outer-individual), Lower Left (inner-collective) and Lower Right (outer-collective). These quadrants correspond to the quadrants „I,“ „We,“ „It,“ and „Being,“ which are often grouped together as the Big Three: „I,“ „We,“ and „It.“ The Big Three are related to the value spheres of art, morality, and value spheres of art, morality, and science, and to Plato’s value judgments of the good, the true, and the beautiful. The 8 Zones relate to the interior and exterior of the four quadrants.

LEVELS

A level is a general measure of higher and lower. While the terms „structures“, „steps“ and „waves“ are sometimes used „levels“, each term has its own important nuances. Each specific level has an actual structure. Levels usually unfold in a sequence and stages to pass through. Finally, levels are not rigidly separated from each other, but rather are fluid and overlapping waves. In short, levels are abstract measures that represent fluid but qualitatively different classes of recurring patterns within developmental lines. Some examples are egocentric, ethnocentric, worldcentric, planetcentric, and cosmocentric.

LINES

Relatively independent streams or capacities that pass through developmental stages. Howard Gardner’s theory of multiple intelligences is an example of the study of developmental lines. There is evidence for more than a dozen developmental lines, including cognitive, moral, self-identity, aesthetic, kinesthetic, linguistic, musical, and mathematical. Integral theory classifies these developmental lineages according to one of three types: cognitive lineages (as studied by Jean Piaget, Robert Kegan, Kurt Fischer, etc.); self-related lineages (e.g., morality, self-identity, needs, etc.); and abilities or aptitudes (e.g., musical abilities, kinesthetic kinesthetic abilities, introspective abilities). Cognitive development is necessary but not sufficient for development in the self-related domains and appears to be necessary for most abilities.

STATES OF CONSCIOUNESS

States are transient, temporary aspects of phenomena found in all four quadrants. In the upper left quadrant, for example, there are the three major natural states of waking, dreaming, and deep dreamless sleep; meditative states; and peak experiences (to which virtually every virtually every stage of development is amenable). Other examples of states are brain states in the upper right, cultural states (e.g., mass hysteria) in the lower left; and weather states in the lower right.

TYPES

Horizontal styles that apply to each developmental stage within the quadrants. Examples of types are Myers-Briggs, Enneagram, male and female in the upper left; body types in the upper right; cultural types in the lower left Lower Left; and biometer types in the lower right.

EVOLUTION

The unfolding of ever-increasing consciousness and complexity, with each higher dimension transcending its sub-dimensions to include its juniors.

Author Ken Wilber

Ken Wilber is considered one of the most translated non-fiction authors in the United States. All of his books are still „in print,“ and publication of his Collected Works began during his lifetime. He wrote his first book at the age of 23, which was published in 1973 under the title „The Spectrum of Consciousness“. Today he is the most translated academic author in America and has written 25 books that have been translated into about 30 foreign languages. Ken Wilber now lives in Denver, Colorado, and is still active as a philosopher, author, and teacher. All of his major publications are still in print.

Work Ken Wilber

The work of Wilber is finding increasing resonance and support. Especially his „Integral Approach“ and his „Theory of Everything“ are attracting interest from different social groups worldwide, and have also triggered a broad critical discussion. With the foundation of an „Integral Institute“ in 2002, the practical implementation of this approach in many areas of life is also coming to the fore. There are now international academic conferences (ITC- Integral Theory Conference) where hundreds of international scientists, scholars and practitioners expand, critique and refine the approach in dozens of disciplines. The basis of „integral theory“ is the integration of all disciplines of knowledge (such as religion, natural science, philosophy, social science, etc.) within a scientifically based overall context (integral methodological pluralism – IMP). Derived from this „integral theory“ are numerous new and more „integral“ practical applications for all areas of life: Politics, science, religion, art, ecology, law, ethics, spirituality …

Quotes Ken Wilber

„That all opposites – such as mass and energy, subject and object, life and death – belong together to such an extent that they are completely inseparable still seems difficult for most of us to believe. But that is only because we accept the boundary line between opposites as real. It is the boundaries themselves that create the apparent existence of separate opposites. In plain language, the statement that „ultimate reality is a unity of opposites“ means that there are no boundaries in ultimate reality. Everywhere.“

„You can indeed be aware of your body, but you can also be aware of your mind – you can be aware at that moment of all the thoughts and ideas and images that are floating before the mind’s inner eye. In other words, you can experience your mind, be aware of your mind. And it’s very important to experience the mind directly, clearly and intensely, because only by becoming aware of the mind can you begin to transcend the mind and be free of its limitations.“

„And by opening or clearing your own consciousness, higher truths, subtler revelations, and deep connections can flash. For a moment, you may even touch eternity.“

„You are not the one experiencing the release; you are the clearing, the opening, the void where each experience comes and goes, like the reflections in the mirror. And you are the mirror, the mirror mind, and not any experienced reflection.“

STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT

Strategy development is one aspect of „entrepreneurial consulting“. As consultants, we are not „unwinders“, but developers.

iNavigare.com does not act unilaterally in the interest of shareholders, but has the interests of all stakeholders in mind. We are not cold technocrats! We are systemically thinking and empathically acting consultants, who assume that the „solutions“ are already in the system (team, department, organization).

Therefore we do not offer ready-made concepts „off the shelf“. We are not „know-it-alls“! Rather, we activate the forces that lie within the groups, teams and organizations to develop the best possible solution for the future. We give ideas and impulses. We are uncomfortable and humble.

Strategy development brings about:

  • Change of perspective and new ideas
  • Professional analyses and smart concepts
  • Professional handling of changes
  • Plain language, clarity and good communication

PROCESS FACILITATION

How the work of the process facilitator and moderator works.

In order to make meetings, discussions and conferences a success, three conditions must be met:

  • the right people (participants)
  • a clear agenda (goals and structure) and
  • a professional moderation

Holger Grimmig successfully navigate you to the finish line or train process facilitators and moderators.

It often makes sense to hire an external process facilitator or moderator for important meetings and conferences. The external facilitator …

  • … is a neutral expert for discussion processes and meeting techniques
  • … relieves the internal managers (role splitting)
  • … takes care of visualization and documentation
  • … ensures the achievement of the content-related goals
  • … regulates tensions and conflicts constructively

A facilitator supports teams, groups and organizations in discussing and working on their issues more concretely, clearly, constructively and effectively than they would be able to do without external support. In doing so, he or she assumes an all-party role and helps them to solve existing challenges together and to develop strategies together.

The facilitator develops processes that help people to conduct their joint dialogue in a clear and orderly manner, not to get caught up in divergent hypotheses, beliefs and values, but to listen to each other, to comprehend the different views and to promote mutual understanding.

The facilitator is a specialist in open, honest, purposeful and meaningful communication. He prepares for his assignments in meetings, sessions and workshops with concentration and focus. He facilitates upcoming development and change processes in teams and groups and, if required, also beyond that in the different levels of an organization.

The goal is always to turn all those affected into participants, to take their individual concerns and specific demands seriously, to gather and exchange all available information on the issues, and to use this information to develop an actionable plan that will make future joint collaboration and the future work. In doing so, it is crucial to identify the diverse potentials that already exist and to connect them in an intelligent way.

Holger Grimmig is an experienced and successful process facilitator and moderator.

ORGANIZATIONAL CONSULTING

„Consultants? What do we need them for? We are the experts in our own company!“

Anyone who thinks like this has grasped two important aspects: That the power for the future is always already inherent in the „system“. That the employees themselves are the best consultants (if you let them!). And they have overlooked one aspect: Because there are situations in which it would be „neglecting to help“ not to call in consultants!

Sometimes a „system“ needs impulses, impulses, tips and tools from outside. For this purpose we come to your side for a defined period of time. To support development. To accompany and advise.

This is exactly what we offer.
In partnership and professionally.

ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Why do we talk about organizational development? Because …

  • … we address entrepreneurs who want to develop their company.
  • … we focus on change processes and their logic.
  • … development is always learning and the unfolding of potential – individually and organizationally.

Companies are organizations, i.e. sensitive social systems that need to be managed with a firm hand and at the same time carefully. This requires courageous entrepreneurs and managers who are prepared to take on the complexity and risks of business. Who want to make a difference. Who think systemically and act systematically.
Because success is not made up of numbers. Numbers are the result of smart corporate leadership. And „leadership“ is a good combination of personality and communication.

„The only way to motivate people is communication,“ says Lee Iacocca.

STARTUP MENTORING

„I’m convinced that sheer perseverance is half of what separates successful entrepreneurs from unsuccessful ones.“

That’s what Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple, said.

My experience is similar and what I realized very quickly: I am responsible for my company 24/7 and 52 weeks a year in the first years of my self-employment, even if I have partners who share the responsibility with me.

Watch out, there was already the first trap founders like to fall into:

Responsibility. Who benefits from being responsible if the responsibilities are not clearly defined? This is crucial if you have co-founders or employees in your startup from day one.

Speaking of employees: as long as you are the only one pushing your idea forward and getting your business going, it is clear who is responsible for what. But if you need support from others to move the business forward, it’s crucial to find people who are a good fit for you and your business and who won’t leave you again if things get „tense“ with the job or the boss. A real challenge, but not really an insurmountable one – as long as you approach it systematically, i.e. with a cool head and a warm heart.

Remember: a really high turnover can make even the most promising business fall into the abyss in no time.

And then there are the processes, which have to be smart, clear’n lean, so that you don’t burn your precious cash senselessly.

This was just a small first insight into the future as a Young Founder, or Startup. Topics like vision, motives, potentials, goals, target groups, markets, location, brand, marketing, sales, product development, CI, authorities, laws, standards, structures, etc., etc., etc. or even reducing the workload for you as a founder, were not even mentioned ;))

But for this and for all questions around your founding idea or your actual founding, there is now finally the Startup Mentoring with Holger Grimmig and other great, successful entrepreneurs, who were all once Young Founders.

PERSONNEL DEVELOPMENT

The „right“ employees are and remain the key to a company’s success. Every company needs qualified, motivated and inspired people to achieve its strategic goals and secure its own future.

The battle for talent and top performers has been in full swing for years and will become extremely intense in the coming years. This challenge demands foresight, active retention programs and systematic personnel development from those responsible. It must be in line with strategy, systematic and sustainable.

Systematic personnel development ensures that you have competent, loyal and committed employees in sufficient numbers.

Managers are so called because they have the power to lead. This is a demanding task, which has not become easier due to technologization and globalization. Companies must develop suitable specialists into „managers. This means that the specialists are learning a new profession. They need support, guidance and up-to-date training and coaching.

BUSINESS TRAINING

Our trainings are „Business Trainings“? Business Training has a lot to do with sport, i.e. with learning and practicing new or improved movement or behavior patterns. A good business trainer knows „how to do it“ and can teach, guide and coach the new. Business Training always takes place in groups. The dynamics of the group help the individual to learn with and from others and to find his or her own way.

Business Training means here: Behavioral training and competence training.

The topics and contents of the behavioral training include: Conversation and negotiation skills, employee communication, moderation and presentation techniques, conflict behavior and de-escalation, and team development. Our practice-intensive business trainings are about changing and improving behavior, i.e. effective and winning communication at work and in private life.

iNavigare.com Business Training brings about:

  • Awareness of one’s own behavior
  • Review of one’s own communication
  • Learning new and effective behavioral patterns
  • Enjoyment of the possibilities of language

ADVENTURE LEARNING

„Why Adventure Learning?“

So you might ask, and not entirely without reason. Why don’t we just do a „normal“ workshop in a 4 or 5 star hotel? Why the effort and for what purpose? And indeed: there are some elements that you know from other workshops and seminars: Group exercises, reflections, input from trainers. We assume that even seminars that are excellent in terms of content and methodology have a problem: the transfer into practice, the perseverance of what has been learned in the storm or swamp of everyday life.

We state the reasons and premises for our decision:

Change of location and contextualization

We think that it is not the content alone that makes the value, but the context. Hence the change of place to a nature that can be fresh and lovely or harsh and demanding, depending on the season and weather. A nature that „confronts“ in its own way and is an implacable interlocutor for the individual. More relentless than a coach could ever be. Therefore: Out of the offices and meeting rooms! Into the untamable and completely neutral nature. Fresh air makes creative, courageous and, by the way, the spirit blows where it wants!

Progress through emotionalization

Learning psychology tells us that „new things“ are only accepted, tested and eventually established at all if they have gone the way of the „limbic system“. In other words: When learning itself has an emotional quality and thus the subject develops an urgency that is not just cognitively based.

From the three pathways of human learning:

  • example & imitation,
  • insight & acceptance, and
  • pain & borderline experience

the latter is folk sport number one. We turn this fact into a positive and look to see what is beyond the boundary. Insights into the self are the most exciting journey imaginable.

Learning as an adventure

We live in a largely disenchanted world. Technical and technological progress dictate our everyday life. The social system family demands. The social system company demands. So where is the individual, the core of the personality? Where does that leave me/my ME? This question is not banal, but the reason why we would like to invite you to define yourself/my self as an „adventure“, as at the same time known and yet unexplored terrain. We can change or loosen all ties. It’s only with ourselves that we have to endure for a lifetime. Hence „adventure learning“.

By the way: Leaders who consciously learn and question themselves in the process are the significantly „healthier“ and more successful in the long run.

LEADERSHIP ACADEMY

For more than 20 years, the experienced instructors at iNavigare.com |Leadership Academy have been training people to become leaders.

Our forward-looking Leadership Development Program LEADERSHIP Level 1 – 5 (LDP 1-5) addresses its offer to employees of medium-sized businesses. To companies in business, commerce and industry, as well as to organizations, banks and insurance companies.

Leading means: representing a cause, taking a stand, being committed. Leading with a clear attitude, showing the direction, „taking people along“. Setting priorities and knowing how to formulate goals and achieve them together. Leadership also means knowing oneself well in order to act with self-confidence, differentiation and reflection.

Leading means: learning, for oneself, with others, for others, in groups, teams and projects. Leading means: advancing the company, accompanying progress, shaping change. Knowing how to cooperate professionally and intelligently and how to manage dynamics sensibly. The world keeps on turning. Therefore, permanent education and training for managers is a necessity and an absolute matter of course.

Find more information in the following sections Level 1 to Level 5

LEVEL 1

LEADERSHIP LEVEL 1Personality + Role Competence

The change from employee to leader

Ideal for new leaders who are about to or are in the process of transitioning from a professional to a manager and for young leaders who have been in the role of a leader for at least three months.

As the saying goes, the first step is half the battle. This is especially true for the career step from specialist to manager, from employee to boss! Completely new demands are placed on you as a highly qualified and committed employee. Because „leading“ is like a new profession! The previous recipes for success suddenly no longer work in the new role. Many colleagues are sent on this path without sufficient preparation, without adequate equipment, without a compass and dry training.

This gap is closed by the LEADERSHIP LEVEL 1 seminar „Personality + Role Competence“. If you are just about to take on a new task, if you have already taken it on and even if your appointment as project manager, group, team or department manager was some time ago.

In LEADERSHIP LEVEL 1 you will learn a lot about yourself and your personality, about your own strengths and learning areas, about possible traps and stumbling blocks, about your behavior patterns. And of course about the specifics of leadership in your company. In practical discussions and exercises, you will be given tools and techniques for leadership, clarify your individual questions and develop your own individual concept of „situational leadership“.

The seminar is supplemented by personal discussions with the experienced lecturers, who will be happy to accompany and support you as coaches – even beyond the seminar days (on the phone).

We cover the following topics in LEADERSHIP LEVEL 1:

  • My personal „change“ in the company
  • Leadership: What do I want? Do I have the skills to? What am I allowed to do?
  • What is expected of me? What can I really accomplish?
  • „No action without a mandate!“ – The internal mandate
  • Leading with personality: values and needs
  • Understanding, accepting, shaping the new role
  • Employee appraisals: Leading well through impulses
  • Expectations are good – agreements are better
  • Exchange of experience and collegial case consultation (CCC)

If you have participated in LEADERSHIP LEVEL 1 – „Personality + Role Competence“, you are entitled to participate in LEADERSHIP LEVEL 2 – 4.

If you have made the inner change for yourself, you see your role and your task completely clearly. You will joyfully unfold your potentials and achieve an effectiveness as a leader that will noticeably advance yourself and your team. Case studies and individual coaching round out this module.

LEVEL 2

LEADERSHIP LEVEL 2 – Communication + Cooperation

Working together professionally and successfully

Ideal for young leaders who have been in the role of a leader for at least three months.

In LEADERSHIP LEVEL 2 you will deal with the question of how people can communicate well and successfully, in a meaningful and fair way. Because knowledge makes smart, but only communication is the key to success. It is important to really engage with others in order to understand and take on board the needs and interests of everyone involved.

People love to be understood! Even the possible tensions and conflicts are an opportunity and an „engine of progress“. Because conflicts show what is really important to people.

Professional communication is not something we are „born with“. It has to be learned. Communication is the art of „making common cause“ of something or „making common cause“ of something. Good will and questionable „common sense“ are not enough. You also need tools for communicating, i.e. tools and techniques, understanding and lots and lots of practice!

We cover the following topics in LEADERSHIP LEVEL 2:

  • Basics of communication psychology
  • Trust leads: What makes good relationships
  • The most important conversation techniques at work
  • Delegating tasks – gaining time for leadership
  • Discussion guidelines for employee appraisals
  • Managing and moderating decision-making processes
  • The principle of „dynamic delegation
  • Leading clarification processes – dealing with conflicts
  • This is how cooperation works: Giving and receiving feedback

If you have participated in LEADERSHIP LEVEL 2 – „Communication + Cooperation“, you are entitled to participate in LEADERSHIP LEVEL 3 + 4.

LEADERSHIP LEVEL 2 „Communication + Cooperation“ teaches you the most important basics for turning your knowledge and experience into measurable success in your daily business. You will learn tools and techniques of professional communication that you can apply immediately, practice good conversation skills and develop your own communication concept! Your case studies and concrete concerns will be discussed, analyzed and coached in a solution-oriented way.

LEVEL 3

LEADERSHIP LEVEL 3 – Team Development + Group Dynamics
Moving and developing groups, teams and projects

Ideal for young leaders who have been in the role of a leader for at least three months.
In LEADERSHIP LEVEL 3 we deal with building and managing good processes for teams, projects and organizations. Here, personal leadership qualities (relationships, conversations, people management) must come together with management qualities (process, project and goal management). You will learn how to build top teams and how to remain a part of the whole as a leader yourself.
The team concept seems to be something like the „holy cow“ of management. However, it is often overlooked that it is sometimes individuals who generate great ideas and provide valuable impetus. Therefore, it is important to examine the effect of team processes in relation to employees and tasks, where and how the best results are achieved in the offices and meeting rooms. Here, individual potential analyses (see Digital Assessments) and differentiated employee discussions help to find the appropriate solutions in order to bring the power of diversity to bear!

We cover the following topics in LEADERSHIP LEVEL 3:

  • People are not machines: Managing or leading?
  • Team culture: „Preparing the ground“ for joint learning
  • Forming, developing and successfully leading teams from groups
  • Differences are good: Using diversity constructively
  • Team tools: Team processes, team roles, team clock
  • Situational leadership: Flexibility, agility and authority
  • On the benefits of „disruption“ – teams love to learn!
  • Systemic aspects of team development
  • Motivation and leadership in uncertain times

If you have participated in LEADERSHIP LEVEL 3 „Team Development + Group Dynamics“, you are eligible to participate in LEADERSHIP LEVEL 2 + 4.

LEADERSHIP LEVEL 3 „Team Development + Group Dynamics“ is about the wise use of human resources. You will learn about the most important opportunities and dangers of group and team processes and how to achieve that everyone „pulls together“. Your case studies and concrete concerns will be discussed, analyzed and coached in a solution-oriented way.

LEVEL 4

LEADERSHIP LEVEL 4 – Systemics + Change Processes
The transformation of entrepreneurial action

Ideal for young leaders who have been in a leadership role for at least three months and for experienced leaders who have had leadership or management responsibilities for years.

Organizations are living, „organic“ systems, which is why they are called that. They behave like people or their organs. In LEADERSHIP LEVEL 4 we deal with the understanding of these „systems“ (i.e. organizations, groups, companies, markets etc.) as well as with the management of change. Companies are only „healthy“ and stable if they are well „positioned“ internally (employees, management) and externally (customers, suppliers, environment, community), networked and always with their ear to the ground.

Thinking systemically also means being able to tell plausible and powerful stories about your services. The research of the current Nobel Prize winner in economics, Robert Shiller (USA), confirms this in an impressive way. In the best case, the necessary changes are perceived as creative „transformation“, to ensure future viability. This requires courageous leaders. Because the upheavals in the energy industry require a new view of people, processes and the complex interplay of all forces. The models and insights of „systemics“ help us here, open our eyes and point the way to the future.

We deal with the following topics in LEADERSHIP LEVEL 4:

  • The „change curve“ as an analytical master tool
  • Learning to „read“ and understand systemic processes
  • Formulating and varying entrepreneurial goals
  • Getting into action – the implementation decides
  • Complexity does not have to be complicated – true!
  • „Change“ and „transformation“ – more than fashionable terms
  • Organizational development – the change of perspective
  • Learning new forms of management
  • Exchange of experience and collegial case consulting (CCC)

If you have participated in LEADERSHIP LEVEL 1 – 4, you are entitled to participate in LEADERSHIP LEVEL 5 ALUMNI – „Update + Exchange of Experience“.

LEADERSHIP LEVEL 4 is dedicated to „the transformation of entrepreneurial action“. In this exciting and challenging workshop you will learn to understand constant change as „normality“ and as an opportunity and to deal with it professionally! At the same time, it will become clear how system-immanent risks (internal and external) can – and must – be dealt with wisely! Your case studies and concrete concerns will be discussed (on request), analyzed and coached in a solution-oriented way.

How long does LEADERSHIP LEVEL 4 take?
3.0 days

Bring as many of your own questions and topics as possible!

LEVEL 5

LEADERSHIP LEVEL 5 – ALUMNI
Updating and exchange of experiences at the alumni meeting

LEADERSHIP LEVEL 5 – ALUMNI is intended for all former participants of the leadership development program LEADERSHIP LEVEL 1 – 4, of iNavigare LeadershipAcademy.

The LEADERSHIP LEVEL 5 – ALUMNI creates an intensive learning and experience space for leaders who want to share their experiences, seek further input and impetus and are interested in analyzing and working on case studies.

What topics are covered in LEADERSHIP LEVEL 5 – ALUMNI?

  • What are the success factors for leaders and managers?
  • What does effective „leadership“ mean in companies in the energy industry?
  • „Glad you disagree!“ – Dealing with „resistance“ and the transformation of protest.
  • How do we deal with our own and others‘ „mistakes“ (culture of mistakes) and „wanting to do well“?
  • Conversation models for so-called „difficult“ employees and further tools for professional communication
  • Basic models of constructive cooperation (principle of cooperation)
  • Systemic understanding as a bridge to sustainable success
